Green Living Journey

Join me on the journey!

Read a Banned Book

Part of the Green Living Journey, as with many journeys, is broadening your perspective, learning new things, and being flexible in your approach and philosophy.

To me, there is nothing worse than limiting the availability of knowledge. I would rather starve than endure the maddening dystopia of Orwell’s “1984”; I would likely be black-bagged by Creedy’s Fingermen, of “V for Vendetta”. Speaking out against the pervasive fear and prejudice of a sickened society whose symptoms are censorship and banned books is the first step in increasing knowledge and tempering ignorance.

So. Do yourself a favor this week and read a banned book. Broaden your perspective; start a conversation about something new. Check out the “I read banned books!” buttons available through the ASJA store to share your journey.
