Fair Trade Festival in Virginia Beach

Outstanding offerings at the 11th annual Fair Trade Festival in Virginia Beach. Promo info says it started with only one Fair Trade vendor in the area and has now grown to more than 40! There were just under 30 vendors at the festival, this year.

Yours truly – who hates shopping – found nearly all of her Christmas presents and indulged in the purchase of a beautiful, patchwork quilt, which is either Guatemalan (my guess) or Pakistani. Check out the details on the Fair Trade Quilts and Crafts site. Many thanks to owner, Don Lam who let me purchase the quilt, which was actually “working” at the festival and covered a table filled with Fair Trade items!

Quilt pics in a dedicated post. Right now, it’s soaking in vinegar and cold water to set the colors.
